Kebler Pass, or Route 12 from Crested Butte to Kebler Corner, CO is a great ride especially during leaf season (fall) when the colors on the Aspens are changing. At around 30 miles of dirt road it's not a quick ride but almost all of it is through very large Aspen groves which is really cool to see. The road surface (if dry) is dirt but pretty tame, almost any street capable motorcycle could handle this with any type of rider if taken slow enough. Extreme caution should be practiced if wet, we ran this in our 4 Runner in the rain and it was a mud bath. There are a few places to pull off to snap photos, great vistas and scenic overlooks.

Kebler Pass (el. 10,007 ft.) is a high mountain pass in Colorado.

The Colorado Department of Transportation refers to the traversing road as Gunnison County Road (GCR) 12. The eastern terminus of GCR 12 is Crested Butte. At its western terminus, GCR 12 intersects State Highway 133 near the southern end of Paonia State Park. It is a mostly gravel road and is closed during the winter months. A few portions of the road near the top of the pass have been paved. In the summer, the road is accessible by all passenger vehicles.
