Jones Pass is a high mountain pass dirt road that runs from the base of Berthoud Pass (near Empire, CO) and up over 12,000 ft in elevation. It should be noted this route does have some steeper sections with loose rock, some switchbacks and shelf road action. One would definitely need some sort of dirt capable motorcycle (Adventure bikes are fine) to navigate this route, with some reasonably good tires. The road can get a little narrow down at lower elevations making oncoming traffic a bit of a hazard.
Personally I have ridden this multiple times and never had an opportunity to go past the top of the pass, snow typically blocks this opportunity even in the summer.
