Running from the western portion of Pueblo, CO to Silver Cliff, CO State Highway 96 is a great stretch of road for all types of riders on all types of bikes. The portion directly west of Pueblo is long and flat but does have some reasonable scenery (the Pueblo Reservoir), once you start heading south on 96 things get quite nice with very good pavement. One of the major points that 96 has is that it intersects with CO 165 which is another great route.

The road is a good one with sequences of turns that last for a few miles and great scenery to be had. Beginners should just take caution, while there are no wild turns just being steady and going at your own pace will make things nice.
