Rocky Mountain National Park (RMNP) is a utterly fantastic ride for the views, both scenic and potentially wildlife in the area. It is not a ride for ripping through corners by yourself with very little traffic in the area, Park Rangers and other site seers will make certain of that. Still this is a "must do" ride as the views at the top of the road are just stunning with many pull off locations for pictures and short walks to other vantage points. Patience is key here as you'll most likely be stuck behind 6 minivans and 3 tour jeeps, all going 10 mph under the speed limit with their cell phones hanging out the window.

While most of the ride could be suitable for beginners up near the top it is not. Sheer drops with no guardrail could / will intimidate new riders especially if there is limited visibility / foggy conditions. With that in mind this is definitely an intermediate road.

A few points to note:
- Park requires reservations
- Entry times and reservation times can change
- You might be able to get into the park (east or west side) without a reservation later in the evening
